Getting to Long Banga
Take a flight to Miri and from there take the twin otter to Long Banga via Marudi ONLY on Tuesday and Saturday. For flight details to Miri , have a look at www.airasia.com and www.malaysiaairlines.com ; and for flight details from Miri to Long Banga, have a look at www.maswings.com.my
Flying is the best option. The 16 seater twin otter planes are fantastic! You will have a chance to as close to the nose of the plane.. And just to make sure that the plane does not get overloaded, passengers are asked to stand on the weighing scales at the Miri airport checking counter.
You should re confirm our return tickets at the ticketing counter upon arrival the airport as the staff still uses the manual system of logging in their confirmations ie log book and a pen.
By Road to Long Banga
If you wish to travel on any other day except the above, you will have to go by land. This option requires much longer travelling time-roughly six to eight hours from Miri. Coming by land also means that you will have to endure rough terrains of the logging road, on which you must travel via 4-wheel drive. The fare via 4-wheel from Miri to Long Banga is RM150 per pax. Chartered RM800 per trip.
